A single-axis inclinometer measures tilt in one plane only, so to get data in two directions you have to rotate the probe 90 degrees and make a second pass. A 2-axis inclinometer has two internal sensors perpendicular to each other, capturing both A- and B-axis angles in one go. This halves field time and removes the risk of angular misalignment during rotation.
The probe slides inside industry-standard ABS or aluminum inclinometer casing with four longitudinal grooves. The grooves keep the sensor oriented correctly. Casing diameter typically ranges from 48 mm to 85 mm, and Kingmach can adjust the wheel assembly to fit your existing casing size if needed.
Portable probes are designed for manual surveys and are pulled out after each reading. For permanent monitoring, we recommend an in-place version where the sensor string is fixed inside the casing.
